The Ion Block Rocker Portable PA Speaker System with iPod Dock is the ultimate in mobile party systems. Made from heavy duty aluminium and sitting on a two wheeled base with a retractable handle, this 22W mobile speaker system will blast out your tunes wherever you are. As well as a mains cable it also has an internal re-chargeable battery that will give you a mighty twelve hours of play. You can plug in any iPod you care to mention, as well as other CD or MP3 players, musical instruments (with 6.3mm output jacks), and it comes with a microphone, so you can DJ, croon along to your music, or just shout at people for no apparent reason. Can you play music from your ipod and then sing into this at the same time? like a kareokie machine? As i would be buying it for my little sister........

Great!
I bought this for my other half and I think it's the best thing ever! They have loads of music on their iphone and this really can get very loud without distorting (once the phone has been switched to aircraft mode and the gallopping stops!) Has been used at numerous parties - allows the dance floor to be moved around the house and even out into the back garden. Not sure the neighbours like it AS much but has been used a lot and never had any issues with battery life. Get this!

Good with a few snags!
Very happy with the build of the machine although the layout has now changed from that of the picture. The controls on the back have now been moved to the side. The other thing is that on the picture it looks like input 1 is a black xlr/jack combi socket allowing you to plug in xlr leaded mics. This is not the case, in reality it is a silver socket (same as input 2) and only jack input (as their item description states!). I also tried using 2 different microphones and they didn't appear to work - it seems only the supplied mic will work with it! Sound quality is very good, you can adjust e.q settings on your ipod if you find it a bit harsh on the mid range when using it indoors but that would be a good thing to aid projecting volume outdoors. If you want loud volume i suggest you purchase 2 and you can link them together with the built in link output socket.

How did i cope without it
This unit is great and i dont know how i coped with out it for so long. Im a childrens entertainer and often work in halls, shopping centres and schools so this has been a huge help. Other people i work with are looking into getting one aswell.

Worth every penny!
Amazing equipment! Easy to set up, a plug in and go job :) Great sound quality (it gave my ears a good clean!) and my ipod fits very securely into the slot. Good quality mic and definitely the best purchase i've made in a long time :D Will be playing with 'my new toy' for months now!

Ultimate party Speaker!
This speaker is the biz! had it two years now and still perfect, can roll it on its wheels and isn't too heavy to lift. The battery life is very good though i wouldn't quite say 12 hours. Not at full volume anyway, (which makes the house shake) but does last a good few. would definately reccomend!! Worth every penny.

Ipod party speaker
Excellent purchase - being used for children's parties in village halls and funtion rooms - provides excellent clear sound and good volume. Quite heavy but with wheels and handle, it is very manageable.
