You simply hide the bear (under the bed is a good spot), and leave the trail made of tiny, red hearts for the loved one out through your house or flat. Your aggrieved (or possibly expectant - you never know your luck) loved one comes home, finds the hearts and follows them, ending up at the cute and eminently cuddleable bear. Heart melts, all is forgiven, job done. Of course to make it even more successful, you might want to add a little note with the relevant phrase, such as 'I'm Sorry', ?I Love You', 'Happy Birthday', 'I've Missed You', 'I can't find the cat' whatever. If this little exercise doesn't make you flavour of the month with your other half, then they're a heartless beast and you may need to start considering alternative accommodation.
