When it comes to micro battling, look no further than these wicked little tanks. With real tracks, swiveling turrets, infra red guns and great action sound (through the handset) whether you're trundling along with a US Abrams, or rumbling towards your enemy with the German Leopard 2, you're about to start a game of micro-warfare that'll have you well and truly hooked. Each tank is able to 'fire' an infra red beam, and every time it fires, it has a little jump-back recoil. If you're unfortunate enough to be 'hit' by another tank, the light on the turret will blink, and your tank will freak out, spinning crazily in a circle. You only have five lives before your tank is disabled in battle, so watch out (though you can of course re-set your tank after it's been disabled).
There are a number of so-called 'official' battling games you can play with these pint-sized warriors which we've listed below. However, if you're anything like us, self-discipline will go out of the window in the heat of battle, and you'll just keep hammering away at each other in a mini-me version of guts and glory (which is really where all the fun is).
Before you start to play, simply remove the sensor covers from the hatch on the top of your tank, and get battling. Each tank has a main gun and a machine gun function operated from the remote - complete with sound effects. The machine gun is less powerful than the main gun, so you'll need to hit your opponent more often with it, whereas the main gun only needs one direct hit to swipe a life from your victim. The set comes with two tanks, controllers and CD connectors. Well made and with great attention to detail, Micro Battling Tanks are a blast.

shocker
One of the tanks didn't work no matter how we tried to charge them. Should have been good fun with the family on christmas day. How do I return this?

Good fun
I bought it for my boyfriend and we were playing with these whole day. The only problem is that batteries don't last for long. As long as you have a lot of recharging batteries it's allright but if you don't... well, let's just say that you should be prepared to get a looot of batteries ;) Overall it's a lot of fun, specialy outdoors.
