If you fancy being one of Those Magnificent Men (or Women) In Their Flying Machines (and who in their right mind wouldn't?) then there's no better way to do it than this. A half-hour lesson in this bare-bones Gyrocopter will thrill and delight in equal measure. Essentially a middle ground (or middle airspace, more likely) between a helicopter and an aeroplane, the Gyrocopter is light, nimble and driven by aerodynamic forces instead of a monster engine. Don't let its lack of horsepower deceive you, though - this is one agile little beast that can have you performing tricks that most aeroplanes wouldn't consider without taking out a hefty insurance policy.
You will have unrestricted views of the ground below (who needs panels on an aircraft anyway?) as it whizzes past you, making this experience both a scenic delight and an explosive treat. If you can manage to hold onto your lunch long enough to complete the lesson, you'll be well and truly exhilarated - the perfect treat for the high-flier in your life.
