We're fortunate in our little corner of the world, that when it comes to bugs, they are for the most part of a manageable size. A good half of the IWOOT team, however, come from the other side of the planet (though quite often it seems from another planet entirely) where bugs take on a whole new scale. They're serious bugs, often the size of small towns (well, not quite), the sort of bugs in fact that require a S.W.A.T team. So when the Bug Zapper first appeared in the building there was a flurry of excitement - here at last was a serious solution, a weapon of bug destruction built by professionals for professionals.
Looking remarkably like a small cheap tennis racket, this bug batter has a wicked secret. When you turn it on, the wires in the head of the racket 'go live'. So not only does a good swing of the Zapper give your bug a thwack, but it also electrocutes the little critter because it's good to be sure, a bug with a revenge kick is not a pretty sight. Now there may well be a Fly Protection League who'll be up in arms (or indeed proboscis) about this wonderful contraption, but we're afraid that that's just tough, because boy, is this gizmo fun or what!

At last, revenge on the mozzies - a blue flash (and a 'pop' on a juicy specimen) and they're off to their maker! Also exceptionally good fun for shocking your mates! "Here, hold this... zapppppp"!

This is absolutely fantastic - I love it. My sons and husband have turned into modern day gladiators, fighting bugs, flies and mozzies rather than lions. There is a score kept not only of bugs killed, but also sound effects as they are zapped - extra for a "crack". I have to buy another one for my eldest son to take back when he goes home. 100% value for zapping bugs - 500% value for entertainment. Nice one!

I love it. There is nothing more satisfying than the flash of blue light and the wisp of smoke as the ex-bug crashes to the ground. All bugs be warned your days are numbered!

Bought this great little device as a Chrissy gift for my fly vexed father who lives in Oz. Overzealous customs agents however confiscated it on my way in....think they just fancied it for themselves! I'll try again with good old Royal Mail!

I used the Bug Zapper at my friend's house and was really impressed! Unfortunately it took her 6 months to remember where she got it from. Still better late than never, so I'm buying 2 so I can give one to my brother who seemed very interested when I told him about it. He's pretty good to me, so I think he deserves one.

Best product in the world. Great for getting rid of the pesky flies but also great for scaring the hell out of your brothers. You just get a great look of surprise on their face when you stick it on their elbow and turn it on. Priceless.

I bought this a little while ago and didn't think it worked at first and put it away. I wish I hadn't because not only does it work but it makes a really cool ZAP! and a spark! Very impressive, a great way to get rid of those annoying flying bugs. 10/10 for definite!
