TOTZ AMAZE BALLZ

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is fantastic! It is very useful and not too pricey. It makes a good futuristic style gift, a not to be missed product.

Poor wiring

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is not easy to assemble, and the flimsy wires and connections easily break.

Solar Robot

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is a wonderful gift giving hours of fun, and as it's solar powered there is no need for any extras. I gave it to my nephew, the fact that he had to build it too adds to the fun as he is a very tactile child. Wonderful.

6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit

Bought this 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit for my step-dad for Xmas. It's very fiddly and stressful to put the solar and motor together and that's as far as we've got as we got a bit annoyed in the end. Great fun though for adults and kids!

I bought this 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit for my son. He was a bit disappointed with the size but for the price I wasn't expecting it to be bigger.

Good present to post!

I bought a couple of these 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kits as Christmas presents for my nephews. Can't judge what's inside the box but it looks fine. The best thing is that they hardly weigh anything, so if like me you need a present to post abroad where the postage isn't going to cost more than the present itself, these do the trick very nicely.

Solar coolness

I bought this 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit as a present for younger brother. It's good for kids that are into building and learning about these kind of things. It features a robust design, is easy to build and the multiple designs keep the interest high. The downsides are that it needs a lot of power - solar panels are not the best but it doesn't ruin it, the box it came in could have been better quality but to be honest it's an eco friendly based play thing so I can't complain that much. Overall this is a very good toy and a nice learning tool for youngsters. It doesn't cost the earth either (see what I did there).

6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit

With most 'toys' bought as Christmas presents you require shares in Duracell to keep them going, with this solar robot that isn't the case - mostly. This fantastic little robot kit transforms into 6 creations from a dog to a speedboat. The kit is easy to assemble and easy to change between the models meaning it can keep even the youngest of children entertained as well as all those older kids who love a bit of geek. The green and white plastic casing is hard-wearing and durable so is sure to last. The only negative is the solar panel is quite small and weak. We don't get much sunshine in the middle of December as it is so it can take a while to get enough charge to see this little kit come to life, especially as it's England and we are normally cloudy as hell too but when it does get enough charge it sure is worth it!

What to get the man who has everything? How about a robot? The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is pretty awesome, great as a desktop toy, great fun and great for the aspiring robotics engineer (or kids ages 6 and up). Plus it's powered by the sun, so you're saving the world too. Go team.

Looks good...

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit looks good but it's not actually that great. The main issue is that the solar panel is really weak. Daylight doesn't seem to power it at all, and under electric light I had to hold the panel about 2 inches away from the bulb to get the motor to work. It's fine if all you want is to build it and then leave it on a shelf untouched like most grown-up/executive toys.

Average

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is ok but it's a bit more basic than the images suggest. I ordered two as gifts. Overall it's ok for the price.

solar future

I bought three 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kits: one for each of my grandchildren. Now they can see and feel what solar power can do for them. I hope that the sun will be present too!

A nice little toy

The 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit is a set of six different gadgets that you can make which seems like a great little gift where hours of fun could be had. All of the individual pieces were laid out like pieces of flat pack furniture kit, not even the solar panel has been put together for you. A few minutes in you realise that the initial build is something of a challenge but from that point on it's just a matter of switching around the plastic connectors. As I wasn't buying it as a 'build from scratch' gift, this was a nice surprise. The 6 toys themselves vary greatly in how interesting they are to watch, some are fantastic and well worth making. Others fail to hold your attention for more than a few seconds and might as well not have been included. At the moment, its use has been limited to being under a 60 watt bulb, only time will tell how amusing it is outside in the sun. I'm looking forward to seeing the car driving around when not limited by a stationary light source. Would recommend as a present for that person you really don't know what else to get.

Good Fun

This 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit brings out the child in us. Nice easy instructions, easy to build and really good fun. Just wish we had more sunshine, but looking for a lamp with the right sort of output added to the adventure.

No More Batteries - Much More Fun

I'm a bit of a science geek and love anything eco/green so I bought this with high hopes. It doesn't disappoint; I've had hours of fun playing with the various combinations in which the solar panel can be used. Highly Recommend.

Makes a change

Hi we bought this gift for my son's friends 18th Birthday as a silly extra rather than the cliched 18 mug. He was absolutely made up with this gift and couldn't wait to start building his robots (18 or 8?) - it just goes to show that little boys NEVER grow up, so basically this gift is for anyone of any age and fantastic value for money...he's still playing with it now, 3 months on. can I also say how impressed we were with the speed of delivery. It's no wonder IWOOT has won 5 National Customer Service Awards. Keep up the good work!

Great little sustainable energy kit!

I'm a school teacher and i'm always on the look out for cool ready to go kits that teach and engage kids with something in a really easy hands on way. This is right on the money! The kit is easy to assemble with simple instructions and colour coded parts. Once you've assembled the first model, its then over to you to swap and change bits to transform a desk fan into a mini car, or any of the other models. I am so pleased with this i'm going to use it to inspire my product design students to design their next great idea! I think any child (or kid-dult) would enjoy messing about with this for hours of fun. Get one now!

Multi-talented Robot!!

I bought this for my Dad's birthday (he's over 50) and he absolutely loves it!! He made the wee airplane first and was so impressed with it that a week later we had to force him to take it apart and build one of the other robots! He's tried all 6 now and every time we come to visit he drags us in to see which robot he's got spinning, walking or driving around on his desk!! So thanks IWOOT - very successful gift ideas!!!!!

A great bit of fun!

This was a Father's Dat present from the kids ...It was straight forward to put together and it worked even when the sunlight was not that strong. Really impressive. It kept Dad busy for a while and then the kids as the blades whizzed around when the sun shone more brightly. A good price for something that worked well. Overall fantastic!

GREAT Toy! Great for any kid of ANY age!

I purchased the 6 in 1 Solar Robot kit for my loved one as a birthday gift. We had stumbled upon iWoot and I bookmarked it as a site with cool things! I am in the USA and was looking for an overseas based website to order gifts from for him and some of my friends based there (he is in Ireland atm). I was excited to order this, along with a few other things off this site, and couldn't wait for him to recieve this. Come midnight on his birthday, he tore through his box like a little boy and was looking at everything and was so super excited with everything. He came upon this gift and could not wait to 'get his hands dirty' and see what this robot kit could do in action! Later on, during a lull from work, he opened this box and started to put it together. We were calling at the time and it was so neat to hear him read the instructions and just delve into building this! He was just like a little boy in a candy store! He built the puppy first and put it in direct sunlight! All I heard for several minutes was "It works! my love! HAHAHA! It's wagging its tail! sooooo cooollll, my love! I want to try the rest!" over and over! He then showed me the puppy in action via webcam and it really does work and its sooooo coool! The product works very well. Even better than we thought. It does need to be in direct bright light but its a SOLAR robot right? It worked perfectly and he cannot wait to build everything it is supposed to turn into! He reports that the instructions are easy to follow and that it is fun to get into building this toy! We were so impressed! I m so happy he loved this! The smiles spread across his face told the story. Perfectly! Further, the service from iWoot was better than anything I've ever dealt with, anywhere! From ordering, to billing, to shipping, wrapping and fast service..everything was perfect! The smiles on my man's face was beyond worth it. I definitely recommend this product to everyone..and have already forwarded this (and iWoot) to many friends! This product is highly recommended! Any kid, young or old..will love it! ORDER IT! You won't regret it!

Excellent buy

Amazing way to keep kids entertained and quiet for hours.Very sturdy looks hard but extremely simple to make and keeps dad quiet aswell. A multi purpose toy. Make it any way, any where. Stretch neck after a bit gets very addictive and stiffens you neck from the time staring at it. Needs alot of energy to work it just works when I put it up to a 40watts bulb. Very good

The complexity of the kit did make for and interesting family get together! Once it was sorted it was well received by my grandsons. Good for boys of all ages! Dads and Grandads too!

get them outside

We try not to buy anything for our grandchild related to playing computer games, with batteries or items other than books, that keep them in the house. Too many kids are couch / computer potatoes. This toy really starts to get a kid's brain working and thinking. It is also a good idea for a present for BIG KIDS

A hit with my kids

I bought this for my 6 and 8 yr old boys. They love it, it's a little on the fiddly side for my 6 yr old, but his 8 yr old brother helps him and anything that promotes teamwork with those 2 is worth the money in my book. They've had lots of fun building and rebuilding, they've take it's various incarnations to school to show to their friends. It only works in direct sunlight, so they've had lots of fun finding out if 'sunny Scotland' is sunny enough for their robots to function and getting excited when it is! Overall, a lovely creative and educational toy that's providing hours of amusement with my kids.

Junior Engineer

Bought for my teenage Son, this proved to be a favourite over Christmas. He has been really interested in what it does and how the bits work. Good value, excellent service (as usual). Well done IWOOT!

I bought this kit for my nearly 9 year old son for Christmas. He built a windmill first and was delighted to see the blade turning under our 50W halogen light bulb in the kitchen. It was a simple kit to teach young children electronics and why an energy saving light bulb saves energy. The only disappointment is that the British winter sun was not strong enough to power the car.

Excellent stocking filler

The person I bought it for enjoyed putting them together. Said that they worked better by shining a torch directly onto the solar panel, but didn't work too well by sunlight.

Cheap and quirky

Bought this for my brother in law for Christmas a quirky unusual present that went down well on Christmas day and at quite a cheap price, he seemed to enjoy making his creation.

Great Fun Product

Bought as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old son. He has had loads of fun rearranging it however possibly not the best toy to buy in a country with limited sunshine ! Be sure you have an accessible lamp to charge it in the meantime. Great toy though.

5

A toy for big kids too

I bought this last minute as a stocking filler present for my partner. He absolutely loved it, secretly I think it was his favourite present but at 31 years of age I think he tried to cover himself by saying he really loved his new set of screwdrivers!!!! Firstly he made the aeroplane but I made him change it into the cute looking puppy!!!! He has since tried all the variations and they all looked good! He even got them working under the kitchen light which put a massive smile on his face!!! Boys and their toys eh!

How to please a grandson buy a 6 in 1 solar robot

Ordering over the web near christmas is can be fraught with and also a risk. However, I cannot fault the service from "I want one of those". The web site was easy to use, the choice large, and the ordering process clear and concise. The delivery options simple and easy to understand with the the delivery promise kept to. I would have no hesitation in recommending this web site or using again myself. One very satisfied customer

No power

There is not enough sunlight in December to power this robot - so we've never seen it working. Didn't realize it could not be charged under a household lamp. Total dissapointment to my child.

One happy brother!

My brother is, quite frankly, a bit of a geek. I remembered that we liked to play with lego when we were younger, saw this and had to get it for him. Unfortunately, by the time he got around to giving it a go on Xmas Day it was dark out, so he tried again on Boxing Day and was very impressed - although he did refuse to look at the instructions!

Great Prezzie
