CODE: IRECOR
Being able to watch your favourite movie or TV shows whilst on the move is one of the great things about modern gizmos. The only problem for many of us is how on earth to get those movies and TV progs onto our gadgets without forests of wires, a degree in computing, and piles of indecipherable manuals. In steps the iRecorder to make the job simplicity itself. Basically this neat little gizmo plugs into your TV and your portable media player, sucks out your movie or whatever, compresses it, and pops it onto your device. Hey presto, no computers needed - it pretty much acts like a VCR or DVD recorder, but of course effortlessly squeezes a two hour movie down into a 2 Gig MPEG4 file. It will record from analog TV, cable, set top box, satellite receiver box, DVD or your Camcorder. As long as there's an RCA jack output from your source, you can plug it into this device's AV-IN jack to record. The iRecorder also has an AV OUT for you to preview or play your video on your TV. The USB jack lets you simply plug in your iPod, or whatever, and store your recorded video directly to it. The gizmo is compatible with iPods, Nano (3rd generation), iPod Classic or any other USB device media device that can play Mpeg4s. Now it's not just the scary people with pens in their top pocket who can watch movies on the move.
NOTE: For iPhone and iPod Touch users: This device cannot record directly to iPhone or iPod Touch. However, you can record to USB drive and import the recorded video using iTune.

Does not work on iPod Touch
The iRecorder is a good idea but even though you can record onto a USB stick when the recordings are transferred into iTunes the video freezes and the audio continues playing. It is the same when transferred to the Touch. According to the forum on the manafacturers website this is an ongoing problem with other people experiencing the same.

Awful Product!
Do not buy! I bought this product earlier this year. It simply failed to work as all I had were frozen screens or blank screens. Volume came and went when it liked, I updated the system software from the official manufacturer's website which did absolutely nothing to help. PLEASE DON'T BE DISSAPOINTED BY BUYING THIS! IWOOT did agree to a refund without problem which was good.
