The Name a Star set comes with coordinates and a star wall map so you can star spot your star and details of how to register the issued star on the Star Registry. The star will officially be titled with your chosen name and you can show it off with the certificate you are issued. This novelty gift is great fun and offers a truly sentimental gift. I bought this Name A Star Gift Tin for my mother. She absolutely loved the gift and the certificate she received in the post after she registered and named her star it is now framed, pride of place in the hall. This was an excellent gift, its fun, cheap and great for the star lovers of the world! I gave the Name a Star Gift Tin as a present to my Mum on Mother's Day so she could name a Star after her granddaughter (my neice) that we lost in December to Cancer. She loved the idea and I am sure it will help her come to terms with our loss knowing she can look up and know she is looking down on us.

Bought this as a different first wedding anniversary present. Couldn't think of something paper-related other than a paper aeroplane then I saw this. Yes it just names a star on a database but they love looking up and seeing "their star" shining above them, that's why I bought it.

I`ve just bought 2 Name a Star kits and could get a couple more before xmas they may not be a present you can hold but for a friend or family member that does not need anything much but wants to be reminded they are being thought of. These are perfect, one went to a friend just out of the cancer ward at the local hospital and the other to a work colleague who has been covering another managers shift for 3 weeks with no complaints. Both got massively positive responses and smiles for days perfect!

perfect little gift
I bought this product for my boyfriend as after 5years I still like to send original valentines presents. When it came I was very pleased, it comes with brilliant charts and everything you could need, even down to a pen! I think he's going to love it, I know I would and it seems quite sciency, ideal for boys too. Such a lovely idea which can be made very personal. It was a silver wedding anniversary present to my parents and was completely unique.

got a huge map with not so easy steps to find my star. the map should come with your star circled to make the present much less hassle to understand. also was disappointed that i now have to register the thing, getting a present for your birthday should not come in two difficult steps.

This gift was for my girlfriend's birthday. I was a bit sceptical about it as i thought it would be too "cheesy". However it was recieved with alot of joy. It is an original idea for a gift and one that lasts as long as the star shines which is an aspect that my girlfriend loved. I would defintetely recommend this if you want to get a great, if not slightly different, gift for someone special.
