The SL2 Survival Tool is a super-tough, compact and lightweight tool that is indispensable for anyone who's into camping, fishing or hiking, and is an upgrade from our popular SL3. As well as its sturdy little black and serrated locking 'A' grade blade, it comes with a remarkable firesteel (developed by the small, but, no doubt, perfectly formed, Swedish Defense Department) which will light fires with ease even in the wet - it produces an astonishing 3,000°C hot spark. The handle of the firesteel contains a small but powerful waterproof torch, and in the body of the SL2 is a piercing rescue whistle, as well as a handy belt clip. The SL Series Survival Tools make you wonder how anyone survived without them.

A great bit of kit. Very handy.
The Survival Tool is a great little knife, its sharpness for fire lighting is superb. If you want a good little multi use knife then this is it. It's great for gutting fish and is a great camping tool.
The Survival Tool is a good quality product and feels like it will last well. The knife might get a bit blunt using the flint but I probably won't be using that much. The batteries that came with the product didn't work so had to buy more to get the torch to work.
The Survival Tool is a quality pocket knife ideal for camping and hiking. It is well made and easy to use. The handy fire lighter works very well coupled with a very bright LED light. Well worth the money.
All together the Survial Tool is very good. The knife itself is very sharp and also locks into place very securely which makes you feel safe and confident using it. I have not had chance to use the fire steel to light a fire yet but the sparks are big and hot so I am sure it would suffice. All this for the price is brilliant, I would highly recommend.
The Survival Tool is a very good product, only had one small problem but it's no bother really. Overall a great product.
Got one of these SLP2 Survival Tools for my birthday, liked it that much I bought my brother one for his! Including an incredibly sharp blade, the firesteel is the coolest thing since sliced bread. Admittedly the torch is a bit of a waste of time and I've been able to whistle since I was 8 but it's the perfect gift for the Bear Grylls in anyone. Overall it's brilliant.
This product is excellent, a thing of beautiful efficiency and design. More detailed instruction would have been helpful. The product itself is great.
A tough, sexy and well designed. Seriously the best knife I've taken camping and actually used. Everything really works and managed to start fires. Torch has good LED output. I will always have one of these in my kit.
As someone who spends a lot of time travelling the world and some pretty remote parts of it. Excellent knife, with a torch and fire-steel and even a surprisingly loud whistle build into it. The clip is stong and reliable and there is a decent-sized lanyard hole as part of the excellent design! Since I purchased it I have been on two trips to remote and dangerous places and on both of them the knife was much commented on. Not over complicated, good design with really useful features.
The Survival Tool knife is very sharp. I love how the torch is also the flint striker. It's a great compact survival tool, the build feels very strong and it does take some force to close the knife once it's swung open. So it won't bend if you strike something. I love survival stuff!
This tool is a must have for the man who likes the outdoors also a very good everyday tool. The knife blade is very sharp and sturdy and a practical length, the torch is very useful as it comes away from the main body it is also very bright. It has a belt clip for ease of access so your not hunting round your bag for the tool. All in all it is a good looking tool, which is made to a high quality and has hundreds of uses.
I bought this for my son for his birthday in August, and in the next February he took it on a trekking trip to the Jebel Sahro. Whilst he was away, the locking clip fell off which means that you can no longer lock the knife blade open... which in turn makes the knife pretty useless for anything more hardcore than peeling apples. It's a great piece of kit, but just not built for camping.
Bought for my son for christmas, this is an all rounder with loads of functions, particularly the flint and torch, however the way to turn the torch on seems odd in that you are undoing the top to get it to come on which then loosens the batteries in the tube. Will see what it's like come christmas.
