Description

Yes, it's absurd, we know, but boy is this gizmo a blessing in 1970s white plastic disguise or what! Stumbling to the lav at night is one of life's little irritations at the best of times, but what really makes it so darned annoying is having to half blind yourself in the process by turning on the bathroom light. You could almost get away with going through the process without truly waking up, if it wasn't for the 'Oh my good god, who put a 1000 watt bulb in when I wasn't looking' experience. Well now, thankfully, that whole snow-blindness nightmare is finally over. The Lavnav (great name) is a joy to behold.

You simply stick it on the inside of your lav lid (comes with sticky pads) and hey presto, whenever you stagger into the bathroom in the dark the motion sensor fires it up, and it shines a gentle guiding light into your lav, and turns off after you leave. It even knows if the seat is up or not - red light for up, green light for down. A brilliant, if slightly odd, product, and an excellent solution to prevent you being wrenched from half-asleepness in the middle of the night.

  • Motion detector
  • Green/red light and seat position reader
  • Requires 2 x AA batteries (batteries not included)
  • Size: 7.5 x 9 x 2.5cm

Totally Cool !

Bought this as I was getting a bit fed up with "sitting down on something cold" in the middle of the night as my son and hubby always leave the seat up. Read the other reviews and thought, why not?! What a cracking gadget. Simple to install and oh, how wonderful to know that, green is safe for girls. My 9 year old son thinks it is so cool that he invited his friend round just to have a look ( yup, boys are odd !). He also loves the fact it is "Red for boys", as he is a massive Man United fan! Would recommend to anyone, not just for the novelty value, but because you know it is "safe to park" without having to blind yourself in the middle of the night by turning the bathroom light on. Awesome !

LavNav

Well worth the money as our loo light switches on a fan so a visit in the middle of the night can now be silent.

No more stumbling!

Great product! I could not the red light to work, but hey, being a lady I really need the seat down!, so green with seat down is perfect for me, such a shame that the price has shot up!I was just about to buy another.

My favourite gadget

We use this as a night light in a house with 2 small kids. At night if anyone sets foot in the landing the toilet sparks into a green glow and guides all punters about their business. Have owned it nearly 2 years now and its still going strong. Occasionally the front sensor panel gets pushed inside the box but its fairly easy to fix.

Romance isn't dead!

Bought this for my husband for Valentines Day. {well toilet habits can make or break a marriage!!! } Anyway, pleased to say that it works a treat and makes the night time disturbances almost fun! {the kids love it too} Still a little worried about putting the lid down in case it falls in the loo but seems to be well stuck on for the moment!

Best Purchase EVER

This has got to be the best idea for those who have children( AND BIG KIDS) since putting this on the lav the bathroom has been the main talking point with the children.

Great - simple but effective

Works a treat - middle-of-the-night loo trips are much less hazardous! One point of note is that you have to leave the lid up - but it's no trouble to do that before going to bed.

Brilliant for all those women who moan about the seat being up. If it is red it is up. We men have to lift the seat so what is wrong with women lowering the seat. If green feel free to sit without falling down the pan.lol

Simple but brilliant.

Great for when you are stumbling to the bathroom in the small hours trying to stay in sleep mode. Two colour system works well for the men, Red to go and Green to lift the lid!!

Perfect for grumpy old men!!

The perfect gift for the grumpy old man who suffers from "frequency". Guided to the facility without ever fully waking up. I've even seen a smile in the morning! Class.

Not for use with furry seat covers

Bought for my parents, the LavNav has been partially defeated by their insistence on fitting furry covers to the toilet lid. This blocks the LavNav's motion censor. So they've fitted it to the cistern, where it still does an excellent job, though from there it can't detect if the seat is down.

Didn't work from start.

Lights came on and worked when not in situ but unfortunately not once it had been put in place. I was gutted as seemed like a great idea.
