Sometimes, a toy comes into the office and everyone just sits gawping at it, struggling to remember the time before it arrived. The Space Coaster Marble Run is one such toy - an indescribably cool piece of sci-fi silliness that's part marble run, part physics experiment. After you've constructed it (a pretty epic and rewarding task in itself), simply turn it on, put the two ball bearings in the central shaft and watch them whiz round the rail at breakneck speeds. It's a self-perpetuating Ouroboros of a toy, guaranteed to turn any frown upside-down, and possibly into a vacant stare of wonderment.
There are a number of different routes for the balls to go down and a junction at which they randomly determine it: they will either be sent wheeling around hairpin bends or careering through a rather exciting loop-the-loop section before returning to the bottom of the central shaft, which will lift them to the top again. It's a madcap, self-perpetuating gizmo that will delight kids and adults alike. Perfect for anyone with an interest in science and building things (there's over half a metre of rails to assemble), it's hypnotic, mesmerising and oodles of fun.

It kept my husband and daughter busy putting it together for a whole evening, with a great deal of discussion. So I had some peace too. Now they plan to modify it....... I've said they aren't allowed to until a young friend of ours has had a go. I can see it going on our holidays as a substitute for the Tomy train set, and this takes up a lot less space in the case. Well worth buying. P.S. He says it would be nice to buy some extra bits to help with the modifications.
Great stuff
This Space Coaster Marble Run is great if you are a big kid. The pieces are clearly marked and extra bits are supplied. The only problem I had with this was being able to understand the instructions to put it together. They don't seem to flow very easily and in some places aren't very clear. One of the pieces was not formed properly. One quick email to the company that makes the Space coaster and the piece was replaced. Other then the instructions this item is great. It is sturdy, easily put together and a great "toy" for the adult that likes to nurture the big kid inside.
Gadget master
You have to build this Space Coaster Marble Run from scratch one bit at a time. If you love building and have time, then it's well worth it with a tweak here and there. When you watch it working you get a good feeling of self achievement.
great fun
I bought this Space Coaster Marble Run for my 35 year old boyfriend because he always dreamt of having it. I could understand that but I bought it as a kind of joke and it was great idea. It needs a lot of effort to put together and make it work but it is all about effort and being successful. This is a lot of fun for me and him watching everything functioning well. This is highly recommend!

The quality of the Space Coaster Marble Run is good and it's easy to build. My only problem is that we now want the other kits as it is very addictive!

I got this for christmas and enjoyed constructing it, challenging but not annoyingly so. Its nice to watch it for a few minutes, then go off for a few minutes and get the same satisfaction all over again. Only downside is that the description states a size D battery not a size C as actually required. This led to a somewhat destructive dissemblemy of gadgets on christmas day to find a battery that fitted.
Could be clearer
I bought the Space Coaster Marble Run as a gift. It seems ok, and quite fun. However, one thing which I did not realise until I purchased the item is that it is recommended for ages 14+. This is a bit disappointing as I had planned to give to an 8 year old.

While the instructions were sometimes vague, and some of the rail lengths specified were incorrect, once the Space Coaster Marble Run was constructed it does look good and works well. It seems to eat up batteries with any more than two of the ball bearings in play; however it is impressive, and provides a distraction in the office. It's well worth the price tag.

this toy was fantastic. my cousin got this for me for my birthday and iv been playing ever since. it does get boring, but all you do is mix up the places of the tracks and urica!!! another creation.
Excellent Xmas Photo Cards
I ordered a set of 10 Christmas cards from the Photo Gifts section and uploaded my favourite snowy photos. Not only did the cards arrive quickly, well packaged to protect them from the ravages of the Royal Mail but the quality was excellent. I can hardly believe they are my photos! Even the card they are printed on is very good quality and the finish of the whole front of the card is beautiful. I'm very pleased.
