These Breathable Wine Glasses were replacement glasses having broken my previous ones. They do seem to get brittle stems as they get older. Definitely seem to improve the taste of all types of wine - white, red and rose.

Every wine buff should have these

Basically the title says it all. If you like a drop of the vino, then you should splash out on a pair of these. When I first got them my wife and I did a taste test - splitting a heavy red between one of these and an expensive crystal glass and leaving for 30 minutes. When we tried the two glasses, the difference was startling - the one in the new glass tasted mellow and velvet smooth, whereas the more expensive glass tasted quite harsh and "oaky". These work equally well with white and rose wines as reds, but if you use sparkling wines then leave it in for less time, as they do seem to go flat slightly quicker. Other plus point is that these play beautifully - a wet finger around the rim produces a lovely musical tone. Oh and each glass holds half of the usual 750ml bottle - so obviously a pair will empty a bottle with no re-filling necessary - very convenient. They're also very, very light - especially compared to the crystal ones we were using previously. Downsides? Because they're light they're also very delicate - we're on our second set because our clumsy daughter managed to crack one of the original ones - so be a bit careful with them. They're also slightly harder to clean - if hand washing then I recommend a warm water rinse to remove any washing up liquid residue. Do that and they come up good as new! Tip: if you're impatient then use a wine aerator (Vinturi in my case) when pouring and you can cut the standing time by 50%.

nice present for wine fans...

I bought this as a gift for my brother and partner who enjoy their fair share of red wine and after doing the required taste tests with numerous glasses both agreed that these glasses were fantastic! I know nothing about wine therefore can only take their word for it. Only small criticism was there was no description in the box, therefore, just looked like 2 standard issue wine glasses.

Purchased these Breathable Wine Glasses for my hubby who's a self confessed wine addict. He was completely sceptical about them and didn't believe they'd work when he opened the gift. We've tried numerous 'blindfold' challenges with friends and family and everyone has identified the wine from these glasses as the best, even when it's come from the same bottle. We've tried getting people to taste these glasses first, or last, it always works. Very good.

Despite the fact that both sets of glasses were broken by accident in a year. Doesn't stop me thinking that I can get them another pair and consider it a good buy. Although I had problems with delivery, it took 3 attempts to get a set in proper condition to me. Still if you love wine these glasses are for you. Hell even if you love orange juice these glasses are great

Makes all the difference

These glasses are great. You would never think a glass could make any difference to wine but these certainly do. They are a nice size and shape as well. I would definitely recommend these glasses. They make a great gift for a wine lover!

Less whine more wine...

I was a bit dubious when I first got these, but after trying a variety of through these glasses and also standard glasses, you notice that they really do work! Apparently the better the wine, the greater the difference, now, I don't really buy exceptional wines, but I certainly noticed that what I was drinking was better quality when it came out of these glasses. Strongly recommended!!

These actually work!!

I was not sure these would have any noticable effect and was waiting with baited breathe as my wine loving relatives tried these out over christmas and was delighted to hear that the difference that these glasses made to a glass of wine was incredible! Much fun was had testing the same wine in one of these and an ordinary glass, something that strangely got more fun the more we did it :) Enjoy!!

Very different, very cool

I must admit I was a bit cynical when purchasing this item for my Dad's birthday. As someone who likes his wine and knows his stuff it was make or break, but after following the enclosed instructions and choosing a good bottle of wine my Dad was amazed at how the wine tasted, especially when he did a "taste test" in comparison to 'normal' everyday glasses. Very good, so much so I got set for a friend.
