Give someone a truly magical gift with this Name a Star Gift Box. The majority of stars in our sky remain nameless, and are distinguished only by their catalogue number. The gift box will contain details of one of these nameless stars so it can be named after you.
Naming your star is easy. Just complete a form online or fill in and return the lower sections of your Gift Registration Instructions. You are then sent a certificate confirming your start registration. This information is also passed onto the British Library, so the list can be seen by as many people as possible, for as long as possible.
To locate your star, simply use the co-ordinates stated on the 'Star Details' form and the '5 Steps to Locating Your Star' sheet to find the exact position of your star on the enclosed wall map. Now you can look into the night sky and marvel at your very own star. - L.M.

Can I call my star anything I choose?
Yes, there are no restrictions with star name choice.
How long does it take to receive my confirmation certificate?
This depends on how you choose to register your star. If you register online then you will receive your star confirmation certificate within 10 working days. If you fill out and return your form by post then this period of time is slightly increased to 28 days from when the form is received by Gift Republic.
How long do I have to register my gift?
Your gift code expires 12 months after the date of purchase. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.

I bought one of these Name a Star Gift Boxes for each of my Grandchildren (and for the one due in February). I thought it would be something unusual for them and a present that will literally last them a lifetime. They were delighted and so was the mum to be. The 7 year old was really excited about it and the fact that he will be able to find "his" star on a map and be able to show his school friends. The parents are doing the registering (the process seems quite easy) and helping the grandchildren choose or make up names. All-in-all I am very happy with my purchases!

A lovely flat metal box with a name a star label on. When you open it it's just papers in a plastic bag which is a bit disappointing. It could have had a little more colour or something to it. I knew you went online to name your star which at the time of writing my daughter hasn't done yet so can't comment on how easy/difficult that is but as a gift its a lovely idea it just lacks something when you open the tin. I popped some silver stars in mine.

I wanted something special and different for my mum for her 60th. Looked everywhere then found IWOOT and the perfect gift from her grandaughter! They can plot its position together, think of a meaningful name and it's timeless! Love it and will be back for more truly inspiring gifts.
This Name a Star Gift Bosx is great. It's a unique present and great value for money. The only downside to this is there isn't enough information on the actual star that you have been assigned.

This Name A Star Gift Box is great for all those budding entertainers out there. Now you can literally say... "there's a star with your name on out there", "because I bought it for you!". The only downside I could see is that it does seem a tad complicated. The recipient loved it and was boasting that she has a star named after her like a goddess.

I was very very disappointed when I got no choice in the star I named and the star allocated to me is too dim to be seen with the naked eye or any equipment that most normal people would have at home! There is also no map of where your star is in the sky, only a set of co-ordinates.

I was really pleased with the 'Name a Star' gift box. I purchased it for my best friend after she had her first baby girl. I thought the gift was unusual and unique. The gift itself looks nice as it comes sealed in a metal tin. I was also pleased that I didn't have to register the star myself as my friend added a middle name to her baby at a later date. You have a year to register star which I thought was a good idea.
