It was only a matter of time before the popular robot was reincarnated as a cute, miniature toy. As an interactive toy it loses none of its charm, in fact, it is now even more adorable. Yes, we realise that we are placing adoration on a lifeless thing, but if you see it in action you will know it is far from lifeless! Perfect for kids, and big kids, My Keepon is a dancer at heart. It can sense music through its built-in microphone and state-of-the-art beat detection to which it dances to intuitively and chirps too. The little robot has two modes: dance mode and touch mode.
Dance mode: When My Keepon hears music, it dances to the beat in its own inimitable style, a kind of funky bop. Put on your favourite music and watch it move. Never dancing the same way twice, it will carry on bopping as it out-dances you.
Touch mode: My Keepon, unlike other robots is sensitive to touch. Through its invisible sensors, it will respond to your touch with movement and sound. Find out through its response which it likes more, to be tickled, patted or poked in its squishy body. Touch it to see it react.

My Keepon Robot
You'll instantly fall for the little My Keepon, the first time you wake him up. It takes him a while to get the beat in some songs whereas in others he picks it up straight away and is dancing away. Just a matter of finding his preference, which can be a little game in itself. Touch mode is a bit of fun too. You can feel little buttons under his plastic skin. If you press the one on his head he'll make a noise and do a little jump and if you press the one on his side he'll turn to that side and look to see. The only complaint is the 8 x AA batteries. I already had 8 rechargable ones so didn't find it an issue. I believe you can also run it off an AC Adaptor but don't have one to try. You'll have great fun watching him as will any others who will see him dancing. Well worth the money as he'll keep you entertained.

The My Keepon - Dancing Robotis still funny to watch but think the novelty will soon wear off. It also needs 8x AA batteries which over a few weeks can be costly. Still think the price paid was worth it for the fun value.

Website lives up to it's name with this one... I have no need for a dancing robot, but I really wanted one of these! The My Keepon - Dancing Robot keeps us amused for hours watching it's dancing styles (seems to like cheesy pop the best!) and it's really cute in 'touch' mode. It's sneeze is adorable and every home should have one.

cute little blighter
I had absolutely no need for this item but since two of my nephews have autistic spectrum disorders I liked the fact my purchase was supporting research and help for those suffering from autism. Since powering it up, however, I've found myself quite attached to the little gizmo. There is something very adorable about it (yes, I'm aware, I'm a grown man!). I'm working through my music collection to see which tunes it likes best. While it's really quite comical seeing it bounce along to Bob Marley or N.W.A *coughs*, so far it seems to like my Infected Mushroom tunes best of all so far! The wee beastie sits next to me by my computer and keeps me company, got kind of attached already.

Awesome little guy!
This little guy is so cute! I got it as a Christmas gift for my brother and only got him out to put batteries in and check if it worked and I loved it. You can watch it for ages, just poking and patting him, it's like he's alive when he looks around. I'd recommend My Keepon to anyone looking for something a bit quirky and cute.
