When the stresses of the working day become too much, or even if the stresses of being a student become too, err... cosmic, the Laser Sphere is a supremely psychedelic way to chill out. Projecting all kinds of freaky-good laser patterns onto the ceiling, you'll feel like you've been transported to a Pink Floyd show (Piper At The Gates Of Dawn-era Floyd, that is, none of that Wall rubbish). Just plug it in when you're in need of a cosmic pick-me-up and let the day float away…
It comes with a removable lid so that, if you should feel that way inclined, you can confine the laser to the sphere itself or let all those reds, blues, greens purples and whatever else fill up the whole room. So whether the moment needs a little bit of quiet ambience or a full-on sensory explosion, this colour-phasing little life-lightener has got you covered. Covered in goooood vibes, obviously. Perfect for the bedroom, the lounge or even outdoors (though don't expect to be able to see the colours reflect off the lunar surface), the Laser Sphere is one of our favourite ways to totally relax. Man.
- A beautiful, relaxing laser projector for when you want to chill out.

- Mains-powered (adapter included).

I was a bit dubious about how well the Laser Sphere would work having watched the video and how amazing it looked, and I have to say wow! It is exactly as it appears in the video, amazing smoky orb of smouldering colour with the lid on and mesmerising laser display with the lid off. Bought this as a gift for my friend's birthday, but once we'd opened it to test it out, we ordered another one and kept that one for ourselves! Highly recommend this light!
Good for the price
When I got the Laser Sphere and set it up it was absolutely fantastic. However, after about 3-4 days of sporadic use it's started making a rather loud rattling noise whenever it's on. Pretty sure it's the motor that turns the lights around. While this isn't a problem when you're listening to music which drowns it out, if you just want to sit in peace and quiet and watch it, it's very distracting.
I bought this Laser Sphere as a gift for my mum - she loves it. It was supposed to be for her bedroom to help her relax at night but she loves it so much she has it in her front room! We tested it first and love it ourselves so much we have bought one for our house too. This is a really nice calming light display and it's very easy to just sit and chill out and watch.
Lovely little gadget.
I absolutely love this. It works well as a lamp to illuminate the surrounding area when the cover is on, and when you take it off... wow. It really does light up the room in all different colours. My one gripe about it would be that it's predominantly red, and there's always red there which gives the other colours less time to shine through. Other than that it's a perfect little gadget, great for young and old alike I think. Would recommend.
I haven't actually seen the Laser Sphere as I had it shipped direct to my friend's son who has been pretty poorly. The news was that he absolutely loves it - his Mum also agrees that the lights are pretty cool and found it really relaxing to just lie down and watch. This is really great value for money.
The Laser Sphere really is an awesome light. After buying one for my son's 18th and really loving it, I decided to buy one for myself and my 5 month old goddaughter. Her sleep patterns have kept her parents awake most nights, but after using this as a night light, she is entertained and managing to sleep for longer. Her parents are pleased and very grateful. I would recommend this light to everyone....
Very Cool Light!!!
I bought the Laser Sphere as part of my son's 18th birthday celebration, and it is a brilliant present. My front room was lit up like a firework display and the teenagers were amazed at how good it was. They have even asked me where I bought it from. I love it because it has a calming and relaxing effect when watched. I'm going to buy another for myself, thanks IWOOT for another great product! I have no hesitation in recommending this to everyone.
Bought this Laser Sphere for my daughter to help her relax before bed. With the dome off it's a pretty good light show, but a bit too bright and distracting to help her sleep. With the dome on it acts as a good night light, except when it turns a sinister red. Good effects for the money.
Didn't know exactly what to expect but glad I bought this. It gives off gorgeous colours and is a stunning nebula. The light displays all over the ceiling and walls at night. Very relaxing and doesn't get repetitive at all. Very impressed and so glad I bought one as a Christmas present!
Bought this for my son who has Autism, he has it in his dark den and he loves it, it really calms him down which in turn calms down mummy. In fact its so great that I now have to buy one for my daughter. It's great with the dome on but when you take it off, the lights go all over the ceiling and walls.
Got this today, put it on and was in awe! There are some very expensive laser light gadgets out there but before you part with your dough, please take a look at this little baby, it's very relaxing. I was staring at the ceiling and walls like a child watching the first snow of christmas.
What a great gadget!
This Laser Sphere is an absolute must for those geek spacehead moments when only a living room lightshow will do. It's fantastic with the lid on, like you've trapped a magic spell in there and it's trying to get out. But turn your lights off and take the lid off, and there's a psychedelic lightshow on your roof and all around you. At its relatively low price, you just can't miss this. It's great with relaxed tunes in the background.
Excellent gift man!
Bought one for a friends birthday - one of those things she would never buy for herself. While I waited for it to arrive wasn't sure I'd done the right thing....maybe she'd prefer shoes or make-up or something. Fears proved to be totally unfounded - she tells everyone about this amazing globe. It was actually much, much better than I expected - especially with the lid off. With the lid on and a few glasses of wine we were also pretty sure we could see pterodactyls flying around the green gaseous planet! It is extremely relaxing and a good talking point too. I would definitely recommend.
For the price this Laser Spher is amazing. Get the height right where you stand it, take the top off and you've got a fabulous and very bright laser show with constantly moving colour changing background. This is all projected onto the ceiling or wall (it can be angled up to 45% on its base, which is neat). The LEDs phases between blue and green and the red lasers dance complex patterns slowly round. The whole thing rotates below an uneven crystal surface further diffracting the lightshow. It's mesmerizing and goes perfectly with my massage chair and some ambient music! It's relaxation heaven.
IWOOT - you need a new category...
...which should be 'Stuff That Keeps A 3 Year Old Boy Amused For Hours'. The Laser Sphere is a cracking product, producing a very pleasing green and blue colour shifting cloud with a few red shooting stars thrown in. The phases of green and blue overlap with the red so you get a nice slow colour shift too. The top rotates to keep the clouds and stars moving and positioned correctly (low enough) the light show extends to the walls as well as the ceiling. With the top on, you get a crystal ball like magic lamp, or at least what a crystal ball might look like if they actually existed outside of the world of 'you will meet a tall dark stranger'. A white ceiling and light coloured walls, one duvet and a couple of cushions make for an impromptu star gazing session which will entertain a 3 year old for ages.
Laser Sphere vs laser pod
The Laser Sphere is a nice bit of mood lighting. The light produced with the diffuser off may not cover the same distance as a "laser pod" but the overall light show has a more ambient effect in my opinion. It fills the space with light not just putting spots of colour on some parts of the wall which the "laser pod" does. With the diffuser on its much the same story. Overall my opinion is the "laser sphere" and "laser pod" although producing the effects similar ways are different beasts and fulfill separate needs. The ideal placing for a "laser sphere" would be in a corner of a room as you get 2 walls for light to bounce off close enough to produce strong light. If you have high ceilings this is a must or the effects are very faint.
Laser Sphere Review
A pretty cool lightshow for the price.. i got one today, and was pleasantly surprised when i switched it on :) Under the diffuser globe, it contains 3 red lasers, and 6 LEDs, and a motorised rotating glass disk. The glass disk is covered in lumps which diffract and distort the lasers and LEDs making a colour-changing nebula pattern with red-laser patterns dancing almost randomly on the wall, or on the diffuser globe.
