Have you ever thought about flying a helicopter using your iPhone or iPod Touch? Now you can with the AppCopter – a gyro stabilised 3 channel helicopter controlled using your iPhone or iPod Touch. Together with a unique ergonomic peripheral you'll be able to turn them into the most intuitive remote controls ever!
Simply plug the peripheral into the iPod Touch or iPhone and use the DPAD (traditional remote control) or the built-in accelerometer to fly the helicopter using the tilt function – and get ready for the coolest flying experience.
With an 8 metre flying range, an integral speaker and an amplifier for sound that allow a wide range of sound effects within the app to enhance the experience. The peripheral unit is charged using a USB charger so no batteries are required and has strong suckers to attach to your controlling device.

Broke first go
My husband got the AppToyz - AppCopter as a gift for his birthday. He used it once, put it on charge and when we went to use it it wouldn't work. Hoping a replacement will work better.
This AppToyz - AppCopter is ideal for big kids like me and I'm 28. I got this as a birthday present and had plenty hours of fun playing. My nephew loves it too and he is only 6!

This was our Cheaper alternative for the AR Drone as we are away from home for a few months. I got this for my husband for Christmas, and he is very pleased with it. He's going to take it into work to play/use it there!

This item was bought as a Christmas present. It arrived in time for Christmas, with prompt delivery. Item was well-made and provided a lot of fun on the day itself. It's enjoyment is probably limited, but still good fun.

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas. It's kept him very amused since then. It lights up Red, Blue and Green, so looks rather impressive. My top tip is don't fly it into your guinea pig cage - because that makes a big mess! Also, avoid plants/flowers/people knitting...
Great R/C Heli
We've had a few of these giro copters in the past and been very impressed and so were keen to see how this would work. The AppToyz - AppCopter is excellent, the app was downloaded in seconds and we were flying straight away. The app controls are accurate and very easy to use - it's very impressive. You can fly with both the standard control or switch to use the movement of your iPhone to control the movement of the helicopter - this is pretty tricky at first but is easy enough to get the hang of. Highly recommended!
