Go back to times of old when knights were brave and immerse yourself in a Medieval world. You'll be kitted out in medieval armour and costume, then learn the skills required to be a knight competing in tournaments. On this experience you'll be taught on horseback how to use the lance, flag and shield, then learn the skills to use a medieval boradsword and battle with the black Knight in a Medieval Tournament. The day will end with a mini-Joust to win over your fine lady or knight in shining armour.
The day will begin with you donning the medieval armour and costume featuring your coat of arms for the day. Then you'll learn how to use the equipment and have an introduction to the history of jousting. Hop onto your steed for a quick riding assessment and learn the basic skills for jousting, including: collecting 'Golden Rings' off the tilt with your lance and thrusting your lance into the man-shaped revolving 'Quintaine' target. Master the medieval broadsword and learn a choreagraphed fight (just like in the movies) to show off to the other 'knights in training', additionally if there's enough time left you'll also get the chance to use an English Longbow to fire arrows at the targets.
Once lunch is finished, you'll get to try out all your new found skills in the Grand Gauntlet Challenge, a Medieval Tournament, then battle against the Black Knight in a mini-joust to earn your Knighthood. At the end of the day there will be the Knighting Ceremony along with a certificate presentation. - A.D.
