very bright

Despite other reviews which say the Sun Jar is not very bright, they are wrong. Mine is very bright and my girlfriend loves them, I've even bought more.

Sun jar

The Pink SunJar is a sturdy glass kilner style jar that gives off a very bright light. I use it as a night light, very pleased with my purchase.

pink sunjar

This Pink Sun Jar didn't work when I first opened it but I have since put a new battery in and now it seems ok. Hope it is actually charging itself and not just working off the battery! Anyway, apart from that, my daughter loves it. It gives off such a beautiful bright pink colour. It's lovely!

Not so hot

I have bought a number of these Sun Jars over the years in different LED colours. The jars tend not to seal very effectively, moisture gets in and starts corroding the on-off switch, the battery connections and the connections to the LED. Eventually they stop working usually because the LED connections or the switch contacts corrode. The best solution to prolong their life is to take them indoors in winter, remove the rechargeable battery and put the jars somewhere dry. Before putting them out in spring, recharge and check the voltage of the rechargeable NIMh battery and put it back in if it is OK, replace it if it isn't. Then check the LED connections and switch are not corroded. Very pretty when they work!

Nice warming glow

These Sun Jars are lovely for bringing in a nice, warming glow to your room. Just like lighting a candle, these jars are perfect for setting an atmosphere in a room but without the safety issues of a candle flame. I think it would make a lovely gift for anyone who may have children or pets to be careful around!

A perfect glow

The Pink SunJar gives off an amazing little pink glow, don't expect this to replace a lamp as it not bright enough but can easily set the mood, Its very sensitive the light and will switch on when its dark. I'd love to get more to give a bigger glow around the room.

a pretty addition

This jar provides a really pretty pink/purple glow. With several of them in a room they provide a nice atmosphere. The light given off does not compare to the light provdided by mains lamps but they are a cute decoration.
