There are those that have, and those that haven't. For those that have, you know what we're talking about here; you've taken the leap of faith, you've felt the awesome head-spin, your stomach in your mouth, the split-second of abject terror, swiftly followed by an exhilaration your body barely knows how to deal with. The rush of throwing yourself into the void against all internal shouts of self-preservation, and the silly grinning aftermath, jelly-legged and yet pumped up, as you walk away with a swagger in your step - you've joined the club. For those that haven't yet plunged, well it's a bit like that, but only more so. This is not a present anyone's likely to forget you gave them.
Staged by UK Bungee club at multiple locations, (London, Midlands, South East, South West, Scotland, North), the lucky recipient of this rush of an event will leap from a 170ft platform and never be the same again. On arrival you will complete a membership form. You will be given a full safety briefing and be weighed to ensure the correct bungee rope is used. Then you will be securely attached to the rope and taken up in the bungee cage. From there it is up to you to leap off! There are two Bungee Cranes and 120 different jump dates from various locations across the UK throughout the year. On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with ten months' validity, so plenty of time to get up the nerve and book.
Whilst Bungee jumping is safer than taking a bicycle ride, the following caveats do apply. If you suffer from the following conditions you can not jump: high blood pressure, heart condition, dizziness, epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, neurological conditions, diabetes. If you suffer from the following you should seek medical advice and provide a certificate before you jump: damage to neck, back, ankles or eyes. Please inform the operator if you are taking any medication.
