Description

If you pack one thing this summer make sure it's the Ergo Digital Luggage Scale (though by only packing one item you somewhat negate its purpose). As the title suggests it's a scale for your luggage, meaning that you'll no longer have to worry about paying those extortionate excess baggage charges. Simply pop the scale into your hand luggage and make sure that on your flight in and out your luggage is light enough to get on the plane without breaking the bank. You clip the strap onto your luggage, lift the scales up until the luggage rises from the ground and wait for the beep. Then all you need to do is check the display to see the total. Its ultra sleek design makes it look extra sexy - well, as sexy as a set of luggage scales can look. It's very handy for those of us who can't resist the allure of the souvenir market in Los Cristianos (sure, it's less than 20 euros for the African wood carving, but it'll cost a darn sight more if you end up getting stung at baggage check in). This summer, take the scales and save a packet.

  • The end of excess baggage charges.
  • A portable design so you can slip into your luggage for use on return journeys.
  • The scales have a large digital display so it's super clear to read.
  • Choose to have your reading in either lbs or kgs.
  • The maximum weight the scales can hold is 100lbs or 44kgs.
  • There is an automatic hold feature that allows you to pick up and set down your item to be weighed whilst holding the weight on the screen.
  • The weighing process is easy - attach the strap to your object and lift, wait for the beep and set down.
  • The beep signifies that the weight has been identified, locked and displayed.
  • Suitable for ages 14 years+.
  • Requires 2 x AAA Batteries (included).
  • Size: 16.5 x 6.5 x 5.3 cm

It is a must in your home

As a luggage scale, it serve the purpose. It is very accurate, it is the same as the scale used by the airlines (VS, NZ, Easyjet and Ryanair). Apart from weighting the luggage, you can use it for other daily activities. I have used it to weight the cloths to get the optimum weight before putting into the washing machine, weightthe cloths before hangging on the wall to maximise the spaces and also weight the product I bought back to ensure it is at teh said weight. It is easy to use and hold. This the only digital scale I know at the moment can be hold by two hands (which you will find it useful when you weight the heavy luggage). You can also use it weight anything you have ot have not imagine of XD. It is useful to both travel and daily usage. After my use it, they want to get my Ergo Digital Luggage Scale.

Very good gadget

With airlines becoming more and more strict with luggage allowance this is a must have gadget. Think about it, if you do get charged for excess bagage you will probably pay out more than the cost of it. Makes sense to buy it now.

Handy Holiday Item

Have you ever packed for holiday, placed your luggage on the scales, and then realised you can't read the dial because your suitcase is too big? Do you hold your breath when they place your suitcase on the scales at the airport check-in? Have you ever tried re-packing on holiday, and wondered whether you have more/less/the same amount of stuff as when you left home? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this digital luggage scale is the item for you. Lightweight, idiot-proof and above all GENIUS, this item has reinvented the holiday wheel. You simply click the luggage item into the little triangle snap, lift the suitcase/bag/whatever for a couple of seconds so the system can get its bearings and, when it beeps, you drop your bag and read the digital display. Its lightweight and small enough to take away on holiday too to save yourself from repacking nightmares, and you need never hold your breath at check-in ever again. I deducted one star because it's not the sexiest or best looking item I've ever seen, the plastic is quite tacky and the buttons belong to a 7-year-old's toy remote, but otherwise it's a really great product. p.s. Bought one for my parents, and they loved it too.

ergo digital luggage scales

Absolutely spiffing piece of kit. This will enable her indoors to weigh her luggage before we get to the airport thus saving the embarrasment of watching her unpack her luggage to discard some of the totally unnecessary items she has packed. However I will miss joining the rest of the travellewrs as they p---themselves laughing at her antics.

Good Product

Does exactly what it is supposed to and really useful when travelling - takes the guess work out of wondering whether you can squeeze one more item into an already full suitcase! The fastening is a bit fiddly and it's easy to catch your fingers in it too by mistake

Liked it so much I bought one for a friend, too

In the past I have weighed myself and then weighed myself again, holding a hefty suitcase-then done the maths, or mounted a suitcase on wooden blocks propped on a scale, to better read the weight-but using the Ergo Digital Luggage Scale makes it all so very much easier, not to mention more accurate! The light, hand held divice does all the work for me now and can be held with one or two hands, depending on the weight of the suitcase in question. It is a potential money saver at the current time, where airlines are now charging hefty fees if individual cases go over the 23kg weight margin. It takes the hassle out of packing!

Excellent gift

What do you give the father in law who has everything...this is a great practical gift and it doesn't cost a fortune.

A really useful piece of equipment

The Ergo Digital Luggage Scale proved to be extremely useful when packing for our recent holiday. The digital readout was clear, the controls easy to understand and the machine proved easy to operate. It was let down by the clip on the strap, which we found very difficult to release. A better attachmentsystem and it would be superb.
