After losing her boyfriend in a horrific car crash, Cassie (Melissa Sagemiller) tries to start a fresh life at college with her best friend Annabel (Eliza Dushku). However, a stolen kiss with Matt (Wes Bentley) sparks off a chain of events that end in tragedy and leave Cassie with nothing but memories and the horrible fear that maybe worlds of the living and the dead are not that far apart after all.
