Bill (Ralph Macchio – The Karate Kid) and Stan (Mitchell Whitfield), are two lifelong buddies from New York. While on their way back to college, they make a quick stop at a grocery store in a rural town in Alabama. All they do is buy a few groceries and leave, but immediately after they are pursued by the local police. Bill realises he has unwittingly taken a can of tuna and forgotten to pay for it, so they pull over to explain. But before they have a chance to explain anything the police officer sticks a gun in their faces, slaps some hand cuffs on them and whisks them away to the local police station. A bit harsh for stealing a can of tuna some might say... but not so harsh for the murder of a grocery store clerk!

Despite their innocence, the evidence against them is pretty strong and with neither of them having enough money to pay for a lawyer, they settle for the only option available, Bill’s lawyer cousin Vinny! (Joe Pesci). The only problem is - Vinny has never won a case... in fact he’s never even had a case!

Hit comedy from director Jonathan Lynn (The Whole Nine Yards) and co-starring Marisa Tomei (In an Oscar Winning role). (Matt Fairfield)
