Following Donald's arrival, Gary & Phoebe are devastated at the prospect of having to part. As Gary prepares to give up Phoebe forever, circumstances change and a path becomes clear for him to continue his double life.

Whilst wartime London becomes overrun with American G.I's, life for Gary is about to change dramatically in both the 1940's and the present day.
