Chris Rock stars in this film within a film, as documentary filmmaker A. White, played by Chris Elliot, documents the hardest of hard gangster rap crew CB4, who even Ice-T feels overshadows his own hard thug persona. Their authentic thug life history comes unraveled when they are outed as well-to-do middle class black kids from a good neighborhood. All hell breaks loose as a true-life thug escapes from prison intent on killing the Chris Rock for stealing his identity in order to gain the height of fame they have reached. In the vain of "This Is Spinal Tap" (1984), "CB4" (1993) picks up on the tradition of great music mockumentary.
