BREAD WASTAGE
Everybody is so quick to say how much bread you waste by removing the crusts. I would just like to suggest something to all of those people which i find works really well with my diablo. If you are making more than one or two toasties in the diablo then save the crusts and make the next one out of the crusts. as long as you put the crusts together like a jigsaw and push firmly down to compact it into the mould it is quite easy to use the crusts and not loose them. It also holds together really well and as long as you have a tight seal none of your filling will escape. Dont waste money buying a loaf of bread which is smaller and costs more just use the crusts again its great!!! Try it . . .

Nifty!
Great little toaster, makes great little snacks in no time and is perfectly easy to clean! Size disappointed me a little bit as it wasted so much bread, but I realised it was so it could sit nicely on the hob so you don't have to keep hold of it while it's cooking! To sort the problem of waste...I buy loaves of small toastie bread especially for the Diablo! Less waste produced :) To sum it up the Diablo is perfect for quick snacks, (I even make breakfast with it) and it even comes with a few recipe ideas to try out. Great product :)

Simply Amazing!
I am the typical 14 year old boy and can't cook very much at all, i have also always wanted a toasty maker but due to the mess and space they take up i've never been allowed one. But then one of my friends recommended this! And to my suprise there is pretty much no sticky mess just abit of bread left over which i feed to the dog or put it outside for the birds. The variety you can cook in this is amazing just yesterday i cooked a mcdonalds style bacon and egg mcmuffin. This really has re-instated my confidence in cooking. The main reason i wanted this toasty maker though was for when i went camping with my explorer scouts. We always have a fire or a BBQ so i thought why not take it so on the very first night i was making everyone toasties in the fire in just a matter of minutes and the plastic handle never started heating up at all! Overall this is one of the best things i have ever bought from the best website i have seen in a long time! Thanks IWOOT for the fast delivery and the great customer service.

Great purchese
Had one brough for me, its great, makes a wicked cheese and marmite toasty, and tastes great, used it on the BBQ last night, even seals it shut, was using my George Forman but he's now had to retire in the toasty making department

There's a Diablo in Texas!
I bought two Diablo sandwich makers. I gave one to my son and kept one for myself. My Aunt Audrey had a sandwich maker made from cast iron. She would give us a loaf of bread, stick of butter and whatever jelly she had and turn us (4-girls) loose. Yum-yum - good memories. (50 yrs. ago). Am so glad I found this. My son thinks it's "Awesome Mom".

My namesake does me proud
I love love love this thing. Not only does it stamp toasties with my name - all the toasties made with this thing, should really belong to me - but the quality of the packets of tasty delights is remarkable. It's a bit fiddly to use at first, but I like mess so that doesn't bother me - but when you get to grips with it, it's the shizz!! My other (better?) half is a chef and my next aim in life is to persuade her, that she needs to perform some culinary sorcery and make me a multitude of Diablo's Toasties. If you haven't got one. Get one. If you have got one, stop reading this and go make yourself a toastie ... you know it makes sense! (",)

History Repeated
I first used one of these toasters forty five years ago and I still remember the taste. In those days it was a very basic device but I have been checking out shops for ages without success. I then found a modern version on this site and immediately ordered one. I was not disappointed. You can put any fillings into this and the meal is ready in minutes and without mess. Great!

Amazing!
I sent this to a friend as a belated Christmas present because he is a massive fan of cheest toasties and didn't have a toastie maker at uni. When he got it he said he loved it and made the cheese and tomato toastie which was very delicious! He loves using it and trying out the recipes (as well as how Diablo is printed into the bread), he's talked about taking it on camps and trips!! I think it's a great little "kitchen gadget" as it can be used anywhere that has a flame and is easy to clean! Very tempted to get one for myself even though we already have a toastie maker.... XD

WOW
This is great, lush deep filled toasted buns... When I first took it out the box I thought this will be hopeless, but as the title says WOW I am certainly going to purchase another one as once you start making everyone wants one. A*

Nice sandwiches, leftovers for the birds!
This sandwich toaster is really easy to use, the non-stick works brilliantly, and the sandwiches it produces are always perfecctly toasty on the outside and deep-filled and hot on the inside. However due to the size and shape of the toaster itself there is quite a lot of bread wastage that occurs. Other than that a great product.

Curious
My nephew (University student) opened this present on Christmas day with a curious look on his face. A broad grin replaced it when he suggested ingredients he could try to cook using it ... needless to say, most recipes included baked beans !

YUMMY!
I was very disappointed with the size of this when I opened the box, however having used it I can confirm that it really is fantastic. Tastes so much better than standard toasties from machines and cleans easily. Perfect.

I'm not square!
I got one of these for Christmas and have used it for at least 10 sandwiches so far. I actually love it, but because 99% of all bread is rectangular, why don't they introduce a Bread-shaped version?

Not Sure
I bought this as a Christmas present but as you can't use it in the oven, I don't think it will be much use. Would be good if you went camping, but I can't see many people bothering to use it on the hob.

Awesome!
This is a great product for camping with and/or using over an open fire. It makes great toasted sandwiches, omelettes etc... and is extremely easy to use and clean! Good bye toastie machine, Hello Diablo!

It made me bad!!!!
Bought this for my wife as an Xmas gift and seeing how I’m writing this review on December 10th you may ask “how do you know if it’s any good then???” well… I was very bad and this is my confession/review. Bought it coz clearly I’m going to benefit from it as much as her and I also know she’ll love it; however when it arrived last week I just HAD to try it out before wrapping it up!!! So with a huge cloud of guilt hanging over me, I made a cheese and ham toastie and it was ACE!!! Didn’t stick to the pan, cooked perfectly, sealed together and tasted fab! The best bit was because its Teflon coated it was so easy to clean so she’ll never know her Crimbo gift is technically second hand and now it’s all wrapped up under the tree – the perfect crime!!! However, what I have had to do is invest in a second one for the simple reason that one is NOT enough and the impatient out there may want to have 2 sandwiches cooking at once rather than have one going cold whilst you cook/make the second one.

Sooo cute
The item is so cute and makes tiny little toasted sandwiches. Bread wastage is an issue at first but then i found that some bread companies make loaves smaller than standard which only leaves a small amount over which goes to the ducks at the local park.

Up to date Retro!
I had a similar version of the Diablo Sandwich maker years ago when I was a kid-but the modern twist has really made it so much better. It's easy to clean-and is an absolute must if you're a "dippy" egg fan-something that just can't be done in the plug in sandwich toasters. At the moment I'm trialling various recipes-both savoury and sweet-and must admit to enjoy being a guinea pig as I munch my way though the options that I have come up with. Get the settings right on the hob-and you'll have a crispy golden toasted outside and a mouthwatering inside that's great for a quick snack. It takes me back to when my dear old mum would wait on me hand and foot, presenting me with this circular toasted treat.

Awesome
As someone who goes camping a lot it's easy to get bored or the same burnt food you can cook over a fire.. Took the diablo with us one weekend and were the envy of the whole campsite with our cheese toasties made in minutes!! And to make things even better works just as well over a hob at home! The Diablo comes with some awesome recipes included too.. although can't beat a cheese and ham toastie. Easy to use, easy to clean easy to store.. I have absolutely no negatives about this product - it is my purchase of the year 09! Thanks IWOOT for introducing me to the campers perfect dream!

Just like the old 'tasty toasty'
This is just like the one we had when I was a child in the 60s. It seems smaller, but maybe that's because I'm bigger now! Wastes a bit of bread from round the edges (best to use sliced bread) but the birds love the nibbles. Good fun & yummy moist middles.

Diablo
My husband goes fishing and it is difficult to find food he can cook and it gets boring eating the same thing each week. I found an article in the Sunday Mirror, ordered the item, which arrived the next day. My husband took it fishing filled it with cheese and ham and hasn't stopped raving about it. It is like a mini sandwich toaster. He can put various fillings in it and we are trying to come up with some different ones to the recipe book supplied.
