Dexter is more than just a bog standard (sorry) toilet roll holder. Who would have thought that a little yellow duck perched on top of your loo roll could be so entertaining. When the roll is pulled from beneath his little webbed feet, a spinning wheel sets Dexter off, waggling his head and flapping his wings. Now apparently this ludicrous bit of bathroom tat was short-listed for Prestigious Gift of the Year Award. How in hell did that happen? We love its silliness, its pointlessness and the fact that it makes you laugh when you're on the loo, but how in the heck did someone think Dexter was prestigious? 'Hey have you seen my swanky new car? My new house? My iPod Video? Well just you wait till you see what I've got in the bathroom...' Somehow, we can't see that happening. Nevertheless, despite not being prestigious, he's very cute, and very funny.
