Drumsticks that don't need a drum - holy wonderment! Each of these wicked drumsticks a.k.a Rhythm Sticks has a speaker in its base, and when you 'hit' the air with them, they make a great drum sound! Is this just us, or isn't this like everyone's dream come true? You'd think so if the racket going on 'round here was anything to go by. Any time someone cracks a joke there's a scramble for the stix so someone can do a drum roll and cymbal crash. Switches on the sticks let you choose between a classical drum beat, an electronic drum beat (so we can all drum along to the intro of East Enders now) and a cymbal crash and the ends even light up with each beat - vital for night drumming.
There are many, no doubt, that will wish these things came with headphones. Well tough, they just don't understand that us drummers need to make a lot of noise. That's the whole point of drumming. If you only get one set of these, then you're going to have a lot of fighting on your hands from everyone else who'll be desperate to have a go.
Features
- Drum, crash and snare sounds
- Light up tip
- Melody noise to beat along to
- Requires 4 x AA batteries (these batteries are for demo purposes only, you'll need a decent set to really thrash away.)
- Each stick 35cm long
Customer Reviews for Rhythm Sticks
I bought these for my dad's birthday. It was getting really hard to shop for him, he is the typical grumpy old man. But now he is reliving his youth, and going crazy for these Rhythm Sticks. A great gift!

These things are gr8. I spent a solid night thrashing away to 'Eye Of The Tiger' and no one heard me. Thanx a million, IWOOT.com!

"We attached some wires to it so the sound of the wow sticks goes all through the venue!"
Judith Van O, Netherlands
Despite having no coordination or rhythm, I can make a beautiful sound with these. My mate's muso mates were none too impressed when I took them along to "jam" so I'm currently a solo artist... looking for air guitarists for my new band!

Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution?... It is round my house!

I went on your site looking for a birthday present for a mate and the moment I saw these, it was definite that they were the solution. My mate is constantly fidgeting and tapping a beat out on anything she can find and has always wanted to play the drums. These were the perfect solution since they are a lot cheaper than a drum kit!
The day I gave them to her was hilarious as she was kept amused for hours tapping out a drum beat before periodically hitting her head to the sound of a symbol crash. It had us all in stitches!

Bought these for my 4year old after he put his foot through the bass drum on his drum kit! So much more practical, lot more fun and you can tell them to go out side with them!.We like them so much that we're buying them for birthday presents for all his mates at nursery!

I assume IWOOT only print good reviews because these things are absolute rubbish. They are not sensitive enough (making a sound out of them involves nearly wrenching you shoulder out of its socket) and the sound quality is awful. You also have to keep them aligned properly because if they twist to the side they don't do anything at all. Very disappointing and not worth 99p let alone £10.

Items arrived within two days in a lovely purple box. For the drummer who has it all it's just perfect. My partner gets bored of reading the subtitles on the tv due to the noise my kit gives off but now with my rhythm sticks she still has to read the subtitles but I can sit and watch the tv with her. not eto self... her head is not a cymbal unless my face is a punchbag! A1 great price and great fun 10/10.

I bought these for my 27 year old brother for Christmas. He said he needed to practice so I fully expect in the next few days he will come back to me with a proper routine! They were definitely a 'hit' anyway, thanks iwoot!

i bought some for my brother, as he is one of those people thats really difficult to buy for. it turns out my 11 month old nephew loves them and now we have a musician in our midst!

FANTASTIC! My Mum bought these for me at Christmas, as we didn't have room for a complete Drum Kit! They take up much less room, and make less noise than a real Drum Kit, but are just as much fun, if not more!

When I first saw these I was like wow! Now I finally have a pair I'm like WOW! I love them! I play them all the time, I even took them to school! My dog goes crazy whenever he sees them! And I can't resist taking them out whenever I can! All my mates have bought them! THANKYOU! And anyone who thinks that it hurts to play them must be mad! My four-year-old sister plays them easily! And they work at any angle and side! So buy them...you wont regret it!

This site was a joy to surf , it brought out the kid in me... all the unsual gift idea's are great. I have seen the perfect gift for my brother who is 71. He was of the rock'n'roll era and used to drive us all nuts with his air drumming also on table's or chair were ever he could get a good beat going... well I am going to put these Rythm Sticks among his prezzies and I'll bet he will love em... I let you know the result ...
