We managed to make a pure, solid, Belgian Chocolate castle with this incredible cake mould. Then we tried ice with equal success, and it's now official that a vodka jelly castle is a sure-fire recipe for a successful party. Whatever you're making (and pretty well anything seems to work first time), this mould will make your party rock whether it's your first birthday or your eightieth.

Features:

  • A cast aluminium cake mould.
  • The mould takes the form of an intricately detailed castle.
  • The mould can be used for jelly, ice, chocolate and of course cakes.
  • When you are baking, be sure to grease the mould thoroughly with a butter soaked pastry brush.
  • For optimum washing results wash with warm soapy water and a non abrasive cloth.

Size:

  • 24 x 22 x 11cm.

You can have your cake and eat it!

I have become the most popular person at work - but only on the days when I bring in cakes! I had my doubts about this mould but it's one of the best things I ever bought. Ok, so it's a bit faffy to grease and flour the tin (my tip - melt the butter, spread it around the inside, fill the tin with flour then tip out the excess and use to make the cake batter) but it's worth it in the end. My friends have already asked me to do cakes for their kids birthdays. I just need some good ideas now for decorating the finished product...

Create a Masterpiece

A very simple way of creating an amazing looking cake. It is very easy to get the cake out of the tin and it comes with a lovely recipe for coconut cake and approximate cooking times. You can’t really put icing on the cake as you lose the detail of the brickwork and windows so you have to be a bit more creative with the decorations. Piped chocolate cement and marshmallow flags look particularly good!
