High school student Jessie Campbell (Nikki Reed) and her friends think little of the threatening chain letters they receive on their cell phones and computers…until two of them break the chain and die grizzly deaths. The survivors quickly discover a homicidal maniac is tracking their every move using their favorite digital devices. A smart, terrifying, horror-thriller that poses thought-provoking questions about the ways current technology can invade our privacy—and worse—CHAIN LETTER was created by Deon Taylor Enterprises. The film is directed by Deon Taylor (Nite Tales, 7eventy 5ive) and stars Nikki Reed (Twilight, New Moon, Thirteen), Noah Segan (Deadgirl), Betsy Russell (Saw III, Saw IV), Keith David (Crash, Barbershop) and Brad Dourif (Alien, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) with Michael Bailey Smith (The Hills Have Eyes) as the killer. Other cast members include Cody Kasch ("Desperate Housewives"), Matt Cohen (Boogeyman 2), Michael J. Pagan (How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Nite Tales) and Cherilyn Wilson ("90210"). Written by Taylor, screenwriter Diana Erwin and Pagan, the film is executive produced by Roxanne Avent of Deon Taylor Enterprises and by Todd Slater (Ray). The director of photography is Philip Lee with original music by Michael Wandmacher and Doll’s House. The film’s editor is James Coblentz. The production designer is George Goodridge.

Shot on location in Sacramento and El Dorado counties in California, CHAIN LETTER tells the story of a group of high school friends who receive the same chain letter that includes the warning: "Break the chain and you die." At first, it’s just creepy, and most of them ignore it until two of the friends, Johnny (Cohen) and Dante (Segan)—the ones who failed to forward the chain letter—die gruesome deaths. Studious Jessie Campbell (Reed) comes to believe there must be a link between the chain letter and the murders, and soon the race is on to figure out how the killer is tracking them. They turn to their parents and the police for help, but no one believes Jessie’s theory until detective Jim Crenshaw (David) finds that he too is being hunted by horror’s newest monster: the Chain Man. Can they put a stop to his killing spree—or is continuing the chain the only way to survive?
