Beginners Guide: Building LEGO Architecture Kits

Beginners Guide: Building LEGO Architecture Kits

When it comes to childhood memories we all have a very special affinity with the Denmark based toy giants, LEGO. As you can imagine, when asked to try out one of the LEGO Architecture Kits I jumped at the chance to get stuck in to building the London city-scape and show off my talents as a brickmaster.

After taking some time to reminisce on the joy of building my own LEGO Star Wars Universe in my younger years, I set about building the London LEGO Architecture Kit.  If you’ve read the blog before then you’ll know team IWOOT have not always been successful with previous construction projects. We won’t mention the offending kit (not looking at you Metal Earth Model Kits). This time I wanted to prove that IWOOT are more than just great gift people- we’re master builders too!

How to build the LEGO Architecture: London Kit

After cracking open the box, painstakingly searching for the pieces I lost in my excitement to open those tiny plastic bags, and studying the instruction manual in more detail than any of my GCSE revision guides, I eventually finished the kit. You can check out the video below to see the time-lapse of me building the kit.

I think I’ve done a pretty good job of putting together the final finished set. Maybe my true talents as a master builder might finally be recognised by the LEGO world. LEGO, if you’re reading this, let’s talk!

While we’ve been travelling the world through LEGO, some of our friends have been packing their bags and visiting the real life landmarks. Our good friends the Travelling Mooseys recently went on an epic trip to Sydney and visited the iconic Harbour area.

They loved it so much that they built their own awesome Sydney LEGO Architecture kit. Check out their post of them building their own Sydney LEGO Architecture kit.
