We never believed it possible. A tiny super-lightweight RC helicopter that even our Creative Director (poncey title) can fly, and he's rubbish at that sort of thing. You simply charge it from the mains (the more charges you give it, the better the flying ability - as the battery gets boosted up), and off you go. The counter-rotating double blades are the secret to making it easy to fly, as they stop the usual torque spin you get from a standard single rotor helicopter. To control the amount of torque, there's a trim slider, so you simply have to adjust this (much as you would a trim control on an RC car) to find the perfect balance. It hovers with ease and is remarkably tough considering they've had to make it out of such lightweight materials. We pranged it into various people while we got the hang of it (though we strongly suggest you don't do this at home!) and it took the knocks of our novice flying technique remarkably well. Most RC helicopters are extremely difficult to fly (because they fly just like the real things, which are deeply complicated) and are very very expensive, because they have so many carefully balanced and complicated parts all of which break very easily.

This is by far the most awesome indoor flier we've come across - it's very lightweight, simple to operate and absurdly cheap. It comes completely assembled and ready to fly, has a range of up to 20m, and will fly for up to 15 minutes per charge - and when you're flying a helicopter around the room, that feels like a very long time!! We crash tested it at IWOOT and it faired incredibly well, but it's a delicate flying machine, not a rubber ball, so take the time to learn how to control it and you'll have a blast - do check out the movie above to see what it can do.

I am 22 and my cool mother bought the BladeRunner for my birthday and to say the least, I am really impressed. It flies like a dream after about 5 flights (battery gets stronger and control improves). It does have a 30 minute learning curve if your a newbie to helicopters but after that you will feel like a pro. The only real downside is that the battery is integrated on the circuit board so you cant buy another to charge while your flying the other. I have a great tip... carefully cut the plastic circle off the tail rotor to increase rpm's, giving you faster forward and reverse controls! One more thing... don't get within 6" of a wall or ceiling or the heli will get 'sucked' into it and probably lose balance and crash. This thing crashes well kids so have fun! Great executive gift for the office Mom... relieves my stress :)

THE BLADE RUNNER IS A MUST-HAVE GADGET/TOY/THING. IT HANDLES LIKE A DREAM, IS SURPRISINGLY ROBUST AND HAS GIVEN ME HOURS OF FUN - FULLY CHARGED IT GOES FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, BUT IT SEEMS A LOT LONGER... I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HELICOPTER!

I've been dying to buy the Blade Runner 2 for ages, and since I'm living in Egypt I didn't wanna risk buying it and not receiving it. So I had to wait 6 months till I went to London, and ordered the Blade Runner 2. It shocked me how small and light it was, never thought it would ever fly; till I charged it and it actually took off the ground. Major excitement and laughter, never thought it would be that easy, as I have the Tiger Shark RTF Aircraft and destroyed all its propellers. It's a must have and definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend it to anyone who is an amateur and interested in buying a reasonably priced real flying helicopter!!! Cheers :)))

Bought one of these for my hubby's birthday. Worst thing I ever did. He loves it. The bladerunner itself is easy to use, and despite the fact it says all over the packaging "delicate", "handle with care", "be careful", it's amazing how after a dramatic crash into the wide screen tv on its maiden flight it emerged completely unscathed. My joy was shortlived however, as my front room has now become legitimate airspace for everything from rescue missions to stealth attack scenarios. It's like spending a tour of duty in 'Nam. Following a relaxing soak in the bath last night, I popped downstairs to get a nice cup of tea only to be buzzed by the helicopter as I entered the room, strobe lights flashing in my eyes, blades whirring inches from my head, causing me to scream, duck and stub my toe on the lamp. Great. Post-traumatic stress is alive and well. As the Bladerunner 2 is cleverly equipped with a light and a flashing strobe thingy on the bottom, rescue missions can continue late into the night, and the fast refuelling means minimum downtime. I am considering sabotage. So if you can cope with Hamburger Hill in your front room, buzzing helicopters flying day and night round your coffee table (sorry, 'Helipad') and numerous comments about its fantastic flight capability, handling, durability and entertainment value, then buy one. Don't say I didn't warn you. Consider buying in conjunction with 'Diving with Sharks' gift voucher as if all else fails you can always stick a couple of steaks in his wetsuit and hope for the best.
Ammy D, a traumatised customer who will now be sticking to socks and aftershave for future birthday gifts.

The only one not flying this wonderful toy is our dog! It's super simple to fly and after crashing it, showing off to all who enter our house. To prolong the enjoyment I have ordered replacement rotors. I don't want to stop...help!!!!
