Description

Because we're all such environmentally friendly and health-conscious sorts (why are you looking at us like that?), cycling about the place is second nature. The resulting safety implications, particularly visibility, are an important consideration, as anyone who's nearly been squished between two London buses will tell you. The SpokeLit is a fantastic and simple to use measure that will ensure you don't get knocked off (not in the mafia way, obviously).

All you have to do is clip the SpokeLit to your spokes (well where else are you going to put a SpokeLit?), click it on and get pedalling. You then have the choice of a constant or a rapidly flashing coloured light. We kind of prefer the constant light on a purely aesthetic level - cycling at the right speed produces that lovely ring of light effect. Of course, it's more about staying visible on the roads than looking like an extra from Blade Runner, but there's no harm in looking cool.

The batteries last for ages and installation only takes a few seconds, so why not get your hands on one of these funky little accessories - keeping you safe while you brave the roads in the dark.

  • Bike SpokeLit safety light for cyclists.
  • Simply clip it to the spokes and turn it on before you start cycling
  • The light will either hold a steady glow or flash rapidly to make you as visible as possible in the dark
  • Colours may vary: red, blue or green
  • Easy to operate (not whilst in motion, unless you fancy losing your fingers down the nearest drain)
  • Suitable for ages 8 years +

Size:

  • 12 x 3.5 x 2.5cm

Bike Spokelit

These SpokeLits are fantastic for the bike wheels, they add great visibilty to the bike when cycling at night. I would highly reccommend these lights to any regular cyclist on the road. I have them on the front and back of my bike, and have had other cyclists ask where I got them from, I'm proud to tell them.

Bike Spokelit

What an excellent and simple product, my girlfriend does a lot of cycling and crosses main roads but also on bike paths past houses. The car drivers do not see cyclists from the side when they are coming out of their drives. The Spokelit will enable the car drivers to see her when she cycles past.

These Spokelits are a really good idea. I gave it as a present and the recipient was thrilled. He just got a new bike so this looked really impressive. Really good buy.

Bike spokelit

This Spokelit is an excellent product when attached to the back wheel of a pushbike. It certainly improves your chances of being spotted by other road users.

Super Cool!

Really happy I bought this as a Christmas present for a close friend. It's really bright and does exactly what it says on the tin. Shame you can't pick the colour of it but it's not like it needs to match the colour of your bike when you're in the dark!

Absolutely brilliant! They're easy to fix, battery lasts a long time and they increase visibility at night. A must for cool cyclists.

Be seen - be safe!

These SpokeLits are a great idea. I got these for my grandsons bikes - they love them and it helps them to be seen in these dark winter evenings. They think they are really cool too.

Bike Spokelit

I purchased this SpokeLit for my nephew. It is a compact item but very robust. It is very easy to attach the SpokeLit to a bike wheel and looks really cool when you cycle fast. He loves it!

Night bike safety never looked so cool!

These Spokelits give drivers much needed visibility of cyclists from the side. They also look pretty cool! It takes alot to get the full 'tron mode' as shown in the picture but it is possible. What is truly genius about these lights is the way they attach and detach while looking like normal reflectors. It means they don't get nicked, but you don't have to worry about taking them off all the time. It also means if you have more than 1 bike (try 5 for me!) it's easy to swap them round. Night bike safety never looked so cool!

Trontastic!!!

I bought two of these about 8 months ago as I commute to work every day and work shifts. These aren't much use at the moment due to the long days, but during the darker mornings and evenings they are absolutely excellent. Not sure if I've ever managed to attain the full illuminated circle or not; you have to be travelling at a particular speed to get that effect. However, you can cheat and have two lights per wheel, opposite each other, which would indicate you'd only have to pedal half as fast!!! If, like me, you use your bike almost every day, these lights will eat through your batteries reasonably quickly, if not in flashing mode. Friends of mine have mentioned how visible the lights are over distances....proves they work. I've got the blue ones....come on guys, sell them by colour, you'll sell a lot more....I know a site that sells them by colour.....!!

Extra Visibility worth the dosh

Great idea and an excellent way to light up your bike a little more. Hopefully a few less drivers will be attempting to knock me off. As for a few people commenting on them turning off after 30 secs. They come in demo mode (so the batteries don't run out when people try them out). You need to hold down the light for 20 secs until it flashes to take it off this mode. Mine had a sticker with this info on it. Sorry for not being a real man and reading the instructions ;-) That should turn a few 1 stars into 5!

Very poor.

I ordered these lights for my wheelchair - i thought some funky coloured lights would look pretty good. I was hoping for green (since we can't chose a colour) but i got red, i was a bit disappointed but very excited to use them at the Download festival. So, we attached them and off we went. During the night, i put them on and thought they looked pretty cool! However, i was VERY disappointed when they went out after a matter of seconds. Probably around 30. So, i put them on again - this time to stay on and not flash, but they did it again. I wondered if it was because i wasn't moving, so i whacked them back on again and went for a ride around but nope sure enough they turned back off. Now, since they are for bikes - Could you please explain to me what the point in a bike light is, if you have to constantly put them on? How is it possible to ride a bike and keep putting this SPOKE lights on!? Of course you could stop, but could you imagine how often you would have to stop?? I'm so disappointed. These cost me £15. What a rip off. I really wouldn't bother with them, save your money and get a better light for your bike/wheelchair!

disappointing

I was very excited by having a glowing spinning wheel that I went and ordered next day delivery! Yet when I used the Bike SpokeLit it was quite disappointing. It really doesn't look anything like the picture of a blue-glowing-light wheel. All you see is a normal bike light clipped to the wheel going round and round. After paying extra for next day delivery I ended up paying about £15 for a very ordinary bike light. definitely disappointing! :-(

Cool Stuff!!

Does exactly what it says on the box! Everyone who sees it asks where I got it and wants one. Only drawback is that you can't choose your own colour. Would have loved the blue one, but got red. Oh well... Still good though!

V cool

These lights are great! Sadly I don't cycle past any shops on my usual routes so I haven't been able to see them in their full glory. Nice to find a product that is cool, fun and practical. I agree that it would be nice to be able to select the colour though.

Tron

I must say as well as having fantastic products your descriptions bring them to life. I must add my own improvement to this one. You mention looking like an extra from Blade Runner I think this should be changed to TRON.

Tron light cycles here we go

A good thing to keep seen especially when pulling across junctions ! At least with this light cycle equipment you aren't forced to carry a Frisbee at all times and not all turns must be made at right angles

Bike SpokeLit - Brilliant!!!

Ordered this for a christmas present as a 'little something' for brother, and he absolutely loved it. Gave him two, one for each wheel, and he loved looking at his reflection in shop windows when cycling at night ... the light effect looks fantastic!! Will be ordering another two for me as well very soon!!!
