Awesomeness

Description

Big Trak, if you don't remember, was an amazingly cool-looking 6-wheeled tank that you could program yourself to move around whilst firing its photon beam. Happily, not much has changed with this new version, which means you can not only relive the fun you had as a kid but, if you've got children of your own, pass it on through the family.

A few simple instructions can make your Big Trak go forward a certain number of lengths, fire, and then come back to you. The onboard memory will store up to 16 commands in one go, which means you can easily have your faithful tank-servant completing some complex manoeuvres in no time.

Big Trak comes with all the necessary black/red/yellow stickers that made the original so distinctive in the 1980s. So whether you're looking for a cool gift for kids or you’re on a nostalgia trip Big Trak is Back!

Features:

  • One of the greatest toys of the '80s re-issued.
  • Program your Big Trak to drive around the place and fire photons.
  • Pre-Program up to 16 different commands in one go.
  • 360 degree turning.
  • Maximum length of one move is 99 lengths (one length = 33 cm).
  • Loop function allows you to repeat sequences.
  • Blue light photons.
  • Comes with stickers to decorate it with.
  • Requires 3 x D batteries (not included).
  • Suitable for ages 6 years +.

Great Gift for 8 year old to adult!

My 8 year old son loves this gift. It comes with simple, clear instructions he could follow and was easy to set up. The challenge is to use your skill and judgement to create programs for the Bigtrak to perform. Lots of mathematical fun in terms of estimating lengths, degrees on a clock face etc. Brilliant.

Big Trak

Bought the Bigtrak for my 34 year old son as he was waffling on about the one he had when he was young. I'm sure he will love this as a joke for christmas it's just like the original!

Bigtrak

Remember it well. Purchased this gismo for my son who is now a parent. It lasted a week or so then my boy decided to see how it worked and took it apart. Put it back together and it still worked. A well made and fascinating toy for all ages.

OMG!!!! NO WAAAAAAAAY!!!

So I remember a Christmas many moons ago where my dad, bless him, gadget head that he is, introduced myself and my sister to Big Trak. While my sister wasn't too bothered, her being a girly girl an all at that time, I was absolutely stoked and astounded. Here was something that could really take my Thundercats into battle for me. Great fun ensued and for months afterwards big trak was seen whizzing around our front room, crashing haphazardly into the brown nylon sofa (ah yeah, we were cool back in those days) and narrowly missing killing the betamax (it committed suicide of its own accord in 1989). Sadly Biggy went the way of most toys in our house and hasn't been seen since the summer of 1990 when my mother had a massive spring clean and donated him to the Brownies Bring and Buy Sale. When I saw he was back again though on IWOOT all the fond memories came flooding back. I haven't made my purchase yet but my father (now 60 and still gadget mad) will be chuffed to bits come christmas morning when Biggy is reintroduced to him. Thanks IWOOT!!!

No Waaaaaay! Big Trak is BACK!!

Giddy puddles of excitement indeed! Big Trak was a HUGE part of my 80s childhood, it was my dearest companion and I took great pride in my supreme skills of programming. In fact, by going forward "99" lots of times with the occasional few degrees of turn, it used to follow me down the road to my friend's house, consuming vast quantities of HP2 batteries (as were). Geek? Never! Big Trak gave me infinite Cool points amongst my green-with-envy cohorts! So, some 28 years late, my 5yr old daughter is destined to be introduced to "Biggy" this Christmas. Now my question is this ....... will they also reintroduce his awesome 4-wheeled trailer that used to carry my Action Man and tip on command? Reversing that monster with commands makes HGV driving look like a walk in the park!

Superb Item

I bought my son one of these when he was 10 and he loved it. Unfortunately he programmed it to go left instead of right and it fell down the stairs. He was heartbroken. I tried to get him another one when he was 21, but without fail. Two years ago he managed to get hold of another one and, at 38, it is his pride and joy and only allows other kids to play with it under strict supervision. I'm now going to buy one for my Grandson who, I know, will love it.

Well Done Big Trak !!

Well I wanted one of these as a kid some 30 years ago and i never got one and had given up all hope of ever owning one untill now !! and boy do love it. Its looks so cool and retro from the box, the stickers to put on it,the sounds it makes and the old skool membrain keypad on the top..Its easy to program with a really helpfull manual explaining how to control it and how to get the best from it. Its called big Trak for a reason its Big ! huge infact and feels solidly made..no cheap re-issue here..Its fast as well zipping around shooting it blue laser as it goes !! would recommend it to anyone who loves a cool retro toy but doesnt want the pain of finding an orginal working one which will be overpriced.. If like me you always wanted one but Santa never delivered then nows your chance to re-live your child hood. Ordered on a thursday standard delivery and it arrived by Friday lunch time..how good its that !! thanks Iwoot.. A++++
