Description

You have to wonder how much time some people have on their hands to sit there and think 'Hey, let's make Hangman a three dimensional game!'. Still, bless them for it, nutty as they are. The rules are exactly the same as they are for the traditional pencil and paper game, only now it's considerably more satisfying when your opponent guesses an incorrect letter. For those of you unfamiliar with the original game, see below for the rules and mode of play. Instead of having to draw the scaffold and the man, you actually get to build them, and get to 'Hang the man'. His head, body and limbs all attach to each other magnetically, so it's both easy and fun to add bits for every incorrect letter guessed. Considerably more fun than the original, 3D Hangman is an absolute must - and it's so easy to get into the swing of it (sorry).

Rules and how to play.

The object of the game is for one player to try and guess the word that the other player is thinking of. One player will think of a word and mark out on a sheet of paper (pad included) the number of letters in dashes like this _ _ _ _ _ _. The other now thinks of a letter, say 'e'. If there is an e in the word, then their opponent will write in where the e is, _ e _ _ _ _. If there isn't an e, then the first piece of scaffold goes up! For every letter guessed that isn't in the word, more of the scaffold and the man gets built. The object being, obviously, to guess the word before you get completely hanged, or possibly hung.

  • A 3D Hangman game.
  • Gallows deconstructed into 4 pieces.
  • A noose.
  • A head, body, 2 legs and 2 arms which magnetically attach to form the hangman.
  • A notepad with the letters of the alphabet.
  • A whiteboard.
  • One player thinks of a phrase and reveals the number of words and letters on the whiteboard.
  • Each incorrect letter the gallows are built and the hangman closer to hanging.
  • Suitable for ages 8 years+.
  • Size: 15.5 x 14 x 9.5cm (when built).

Great product

A great twist on a classic game. Everyone knows how to play hangman and yes all you need is a paper and pen but this 3D version adds more fun to the game allowing to hangman to be built in front of your eyes. I bought this for my niece and we played for hours. The parts are sturdy and the magnets are strong so there's no danger of breaking them. It comes complete with a pad to write the words on with the alphabet at the bottom of each page so you can cross of guessed wrong letters. A thoroughly good product...thanks!

Loads of fun!

This is a great little game! Not only is playing hangman a nice burst of nostalgia, but the poor little guy can be built in lots of different ways and hung upside down and all sorts (his parts attach magnetically). No end of Xmas fun was had!

Not very impressed

Bits kept falling off all the time. We struggled to put the head on straight and had to leave it at a tilt - not sure if this was right or not.Its all a bit messy and time consuming.

3D Hangman

A great new way to play Hangman with limbs to attach using magnets. We are using the game to encourage our son with spellings and handwriting.
